Glowing in the evening's last rays of light, the Pohono Bridge seems to be as the sun itself, setting on the western horizon. The decidedly un-natural arch gracefully spans the Merced River in Yosemite Valley. Pohono is the Indian name for Bridalveil Falls, which is near, and may be translated loosely as 'blast of wind'.
