Ambling down the trail towards Walker Lake, I was greeted by an incredible wonderland of Quaking Aspens, clothed in their brightest autumn finery. Every conceivable shade of yellow and gold lined the path. So artful was the embellishment upon the fir trees that they appeared to be decorated for an early Christmas. It is in places and times such as this that it becomes undeniable that no painter has ever bested nature's own artistry. A color version of this very same scene can be found here.
